Terms & Conditions

Circuit Surgeon NZ  ·  St Johns, Auckland  ·  Effective 2026
By submitting equipment for repair, the Customer authorises Circuit Surgeon, and any third party authorised by Circuit Surgeon, to carry out the requested service. The Customer acknowledges and agrees to the following terms.
  1. Liability

Circuit Surgeon will take all reasonable care during any repair. However, Circuit Surgeon will not be liable for loss or damage caused unintentionally, including damage caused by freight carriers or other third parties.

  2. Pricing

All prices are inclusive of GST. Unless stated otherwise, prices exclude freight, handling, insurance, and any other associated costs.

  3. Estimates & Inspection Fees

Any estimate provided is indicative only and does not constitute a formal quote. A minimum inspection fee of $75.00 (GST incl.) applies to all assessments. This fee covers the full assessment of the equipment and preparation of a detailed quote. If the Customer proceeds with the repair, the inspection fee is credited in full against the final invoice — it is only forfeited if the Customer chooses not to proceed.

Note: Freight, handling, and packing costs are not included in any fees or estimates.
  4. Non-Refundable Charges

The inspection fee is non-refundable for all non-warranty repairs where the Customer declines to proceed. This applies where the reported fault cannot be replicated ("no fault found"), or where the equipment is assessed as unrepairable or uneconomical to repair.

  5. Repair Threshold

Non-warranty repairs may be carried out without a prior estimate up to a maximum value of $175.00 (excluding additional costs as described in Section 2).

  6. Payment Terms

All invoices are due upon completion of the repair unless prior written arrangements have been agreed. Full payment is required at the time of collection, delivery, or dispatch.

  7. Overdue Accounts

If an invoice remains unpaid after the due date, Circuit Surgeon reserves the right to charge interest at 2% per month, calculated daily, on the outstanding balance until paid in full. A one-time administration fee of $25.00 may also be applied to cover recovery costs.

  8. Abandoned Equipment

Equipment not collected within one (1) month of the Customer being notified that their repair is complete will be deemed abandoned. Circuit Surgeon may sell or otherwise dispose of the equipment to recover outstanding charges in accordance with applicable New Zealand law.

  9. Timelines

Circuit Surgeon will endeavour to complete repairs promptly; however, it accepts no responsibility for repair duration or any loss arising from delays, including delays due to parts availability or third-party suppliers.

  10. Condition & Data

The Customer confirms that all damage recorded on the intake form existed prior to Circuit Surgeon accepting the equipment. The Customer is solely responsible for backing up all data and files; Circuit Surgeon accepts no responsibility for data loss occurring during the repair process.

  11. Privacy

The Customer consents to their personal information being collected, held, and used by Circuit Surgeon for the purpose of carrying out the repair and any associated delivery. Circuit Surgeon will not disclose personal information to any third party except where necessary to complete the repair or delivery. Personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand).
